Travis Harrold

President / Pilot

Travis acquired his pilot license in 1990 with the FAA and later his CAA license in Canada. He is Type Rated in the SK-64 and during his career he has safely logged over 16,000 flight hours around the world flying logs for timber harvesting, water for fire suppression, towers for power lines, and precision placement of material in congested areas. During his 24 years with Erickson Air-Crane, Travis held the management position of senior construction pilot, responsible for safety, pilot training and was also pivotal in leading the Erickson construction department to an unsurpassed record of safety and customer satisfaction. Travis takes great pride in providing excellent customer service.

Garett Boyce

Chief Pilot

Garett made his dream a reality when he started flying in 2014. He started his career off in Alaska where he safely flew many hours offering mining support, animal surveys, utility missions and passenger transport. Garett then came down to the lower 48 where he transitioned into the fire fighting and precision construction markets. Garett became the Chief Pilot serving IMH’s 135 Operating Certificate in 2022. Garett’s safety mindset, customer satisfaction, positive attitude and integrity are what sets him apart in this industry.

Sarah Encinias

Secretary / Office Manager

Sarah Encinias, adept at office camaraderie, has been a valued member of our team for over a year. Originally from Calaveras County, she later relocated to Sonora before settling in Tuolumne City with her close-knit family. Adept at supporting her young athletes and creating culinary wonders, Sarah plays an integral role at Intermountain Helicopters. Sarah is our Office Manager and DER (Designated Employer Representative) for our Drug & Alcohol testing program. Sarah’s radiant smile exudes warmth and fosters a sense of familial unity within the workspace. Sarah's dedication to her work goes beyond her job description. With a heart full of compassion and a mind brimming with creativity, she effortlessly juggles her responsibilities at Intermountain Helicopter while also nurturing the growth of her young athletes. Her passion for cooking not only delights her colleagues during potlucks but also serves as a testament to her ability to bring people together through the universal language of food. Even on the busiest of days, Sarah's radiant smile never fades, brightening even the most challenging tasks with its warmth. Her ability to create a sense of familial unity within the workspace is truly remarkable, turning colleagues into friends and transforming the office into a place where teamwork flourishes and support abounds. In Sarah, we have not just found a competent team member, but a shining example of how kindness, dedication, and a positive attitude can elevate the workplace and inspire those around her.

Kris Svendsen

Chief Pilot

Kris received his pilots license in 2007, has logged over 5,000 hours, and is Type Rated in the SK-61 and BV234. He has experience fighting fire throughout the United States and Chile. He also brings with him a background in helicopter utility work ranging from power line patrols and high altitude snow surveys to precision long line construction flying such as; power pole replacement, concrete pouring, air conditioner units, and building materials. Kris holds safety, attention to detail, and customer service in the highest regard.

Tooty Schwoerer

Truck Boss

Tooty has 47 years of commercial trucking experience and management. She has been an integral part of Intermountain for over 15 years, using her aviation related fueling experience, and an extensive knowledge of hazardous material handling to safely support the aircraft in all operational situations.
